Hey guys,
I’m a wiffle ball enthusiast as well as a writer. I dedicated my last piece to the great game of wiffle ball. I thought some of you might enjoy it. Take care!

Mike – check out http://www.wiffleball.net. Try the ‘Lost Wiffler’ link to locate players all over the country, including the Albany area.

I enjoyed your site. I have the answer to everyone getting too old and moving away – Nephews ! My dozen nephews and I held multiple tourneys this year, built a Fenway replica and 2 other fields with 10′ high fences. We have a dozen or so teams signed up for a MLB like league next year and are hoping to get to at least 18.
Nephews man, Nephews. They can drag you off the couch and into the backyard or street again.
We kind of settled on the gold stick rules, even though we have played wide open (any bat allowed) and hard plastic balls (with holes) among our family for years. Most everyone around here has standardized on the ‘official’ wiffleball thing.
Thanks for your site – here’s hoping you have Nephews upcoming to drag you back out into the street !
Take care, Jerry

Jerry, thanks for the tip. You must have a big family. My sister is still in college, so I’m willing to wait a few years (or longer) for a nephew.
We’ve joked around about forming Minor League Wiffleball to players who had their own children over the past few years. About half are girls though, so I’m not sure how well that would work out.
Many of the MLW originals actually got together and played on Columbus Day weekend, and we had a great time. I’ll post an article about it in the near future. We’re already talking about playing a few times next year too.
I checked out your site and saw the photos. The stadium lights look great!
Thanks for stopping by!

Did you guys know that the wiffle ball is on its way to end up in the Olympics…
Not through base wiffles – but net whiffles.
FloorBall Hockey that uses something that in the beginning was an whiffle ball is going olympic in 2020…
