AL Central Showdown Tigers/Twins

Most of the baseball playoff races were decided weeks ago. It looked like the American League Central was among those, but the Twins are keeping it interesting, and the race with the Tigers is really heating up.

Of course, we’re all rooting for the Twins here. After all, TC, the Minnesota Twins mascot, held a wiffleball in his mouth for us!

A few weeks ago, our wonderful MLW roving staff members attended an Uncle Kracker concert and were able to meet up with him after the show. As always, they went prepared with a wiffleball, and Uncle Kracker gladly posed for a photo holding the wiffleball. Judging by his smile, he may even be a wiffleball fan.

This Tuesday, Uncle Kracker released his new CD, “Happy Hour”. One of our staff-ladies who knows a thing or two about music has called it “the best CD of 2009, by far.”

Longtime Twins clubhouse attendant Wayne Hattaway will join Twins color-commentator Bert Blyleven (left) in the broadcast booth this weekend to celebrate a friendship that has lasted over 40 years. Then, Hattaway will reportedly show his friendship by throwing a pie in Blyleven’s face!

Brookside returned to MLW headquarters in Cohoes, NY, and while they were here, we took a few photos of them tossing around a wiffleball. They’ve posed for us in the past, and we’re glad they keep coming back.

This time, Brookside has a new band member, their drummer, Wendall James Scott III.
