Peter Gammons Leaving ESPN

It’s the biggest baseball-related signing this off-season. Peter Gammons is leaving ESPN at the end of the week for the MLB Network and NESN.

Gammons once referred to me as, “the Barry Bonds of wiffleball.” Well, at the time it was a compliment. I would have preferred Mark McGwire.

Can you imagine how great it would be if wiffleball was on television? Why isn’t it on there already?

Wiffleball is easily more fun to watch than some sports already on television. For example, I wouldn’t watch golf if the U.S. Open was in my back yard, but I’d watch wiffleball.
