Dan Patrick Back on Sirius

Dan Patrick
He put the “Whiff” in wiffleball – Dan Patrick is back on Sirius Satellite Radio. Apparently he’s been on since the Sirius/XM merger, but I just noticed this yesterday. He’s in the same time slot as ‘The Herd’ with Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio, so it’s going to be a tough decision who to listen to on a daily basis.

I’ve been a regular listener of “The Herd” for over 3 years, but Colin was out today and the fill-in hosts, Doug Gottleib and Ryen Rusillo, just weren’t the same. So after a little channel surfing on my Sirius Radio, I was shocked to see “The Dan Patrick Show” show up on my radio’s display. Finally, I could listen to Dan Patrick at work again!

Dan left ESPN in August 2007 to become a free agent and was back on the radio soon after, including on XM, but not on Sirius until recently. His show sounds very similar to the original one; he even plays the ‘ding’ when the callers mention their height and weight. It’s still the same ol’ Dan, but with a new supporting cast.

While this isn’t much of a wiffleball story, chances are, if you like wiffleball, you’ll like “The Dan Patrick Show”. If you’re a fellow Sirius listener, you can listen to “The Dan Patrick Show” live weekdays from 10AM – 1 PM ET on Sirius channel 122.

Thanks for taking a day off Colin! I’ll still listen, but you better be good, or else I’m flipping over to Dan Patrick.

One Response to “Dan Patrick Back on Sirius”

  1. Looks like the times of the Dan Patrick Show vary now. Sirius doesn’t offer a live feed anymore. Dan’s show is still heard on Channel 122, but the rebroadcast starts at 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM depending on the day.
