Wiffleball World Series teams set: Breen vs. Breen

WWS Captains Shaun Breen and Mike Breen For the third straight season, Shaun Breen and Mike Breen will face one another in the Wiffleball World Series. Mike captained the 2000 World Series championship team and was a member of Quentin Jensen's 2001 WWS championship team. Mike will be trying for his third Wiffleball World Series ring while his cousin Shaun will be trying to win his first.

Shaun finished the year in first place, just one-half point ahead of Mike in the standings. A late-season run boosted Shaun out of third place, where he had spent much of the season, and put him ahead of Mike who had been in first place nearly all season. Shaun has now finished in first place in each of the past three seasons.

Shaun's teammates will be the league's hottest player, Matt Ceccucci, fireballer Joe Yerdon, and newcomer "The Rock." The team will also have home field advantage.

Mike will have 2-time Wiffleball World Series MVP Quentin Jensen, "Ironman" Eric Coons, and Marc Ceccucci on his roster.

When asked about his chances, Captain Shaun Breen replied, "There are a lot of 'ifs', so I'm not going to make a prediction, but I think my team has a good chance of winning."

The Wiffleball World Series will begin at 12:30 PM on Sunday, September 8th at 12:30 PM at the Sac. Game Two will be played immediately following Game One.
