About
Ryan Montalbano: Montie surprised everyone
in the 2000 season. Most players expected him to hit poorly,
but he batted .333, good enough for the third-highest
average. On the mound, that's a different story. He pitched
exactly how everyone thought he would. In September 2000,
he accepted a job in Rhode Island, and is now strictly
a part-time player. Montie will be remembered most for
rejecting a walk, being told off by teammate Matt Ceccucci,
then belting a two-run homer on the next pitch.
2002
Outlook: Montie will only able to attend 2-3
games days this season at most, so his stats will be considerably
low. It would be a miracle if he qualified for the playoffs
due to his limited number of games played.
