Just when we thought he was done, Ken Griffey, Jr. has decided to come back for at least one more season. While another season of Ken Griffey, Jr. may be great for baseball, it's not as good for wiffleball.

When we started using the Ken Griffey, Jr. black wiffleball bat, home runs flew out of The Sac like never before. However, by the end of the season, the bat lost it's power, and it became just a regular bat.

So, the next year, I bought a new Griffey bat, and it made a huge difference. There was no comparison to the "old" one. The new bat was just better. To this day, the Ken Griffey, Jr. black wiffleball bat is the best wiffleball bat I've ever used...

A few months ago, I wrote an article about the greatest wiffleball bat that I've ever used -- the Ken Griffey, Jr. bat. And judging from the comments that I received, I'm not the only one who likes this bat.

Shortly after the article was posted here, the bat sold out on Amazon.com. Well, I'm glad to report that it's back in stock. Buy it now before it sells out again!

On Monday, Seattle Mariners outfielder Ken Griffey, Jr. homered for the 8th time on opening day of his 21-year career, tying Frank Robinson's record for the most opening day home runs of all-time.

When Major League Wiffleball players think of Ken Griffey, Jr., we immediately think of home runs. Not from the player though, but from his bat. His wiffleball bat.

A few years ago, when I was eating dinner at Bennigan's Restaurant, I got talking to Jeff of the former band, "The Kast", who came over to my table and joined me. The conversation quickly turned to wiffleball, and he asked me if I had ever tried the Ken Griffey, Jr. bat. I hadn't even heard of it, and I asked what was so great about it. Jeff, a fellow wiffleball fan responded, "When you pick it up, you just know..." I'll never forget those words.

We have to say that we liked it overall, and would definitely find a place for one in Major League Wiffleball, although probably not exactly as the company intended.
We recently had the opportunity to test out the Blitzball, a new type of wiffleball from College Hill Games. This ball is unlike any other that we have tried. The only hole in this ball is a small, pin-sized one, probably meant to prevent the ball from getting permanently dented. Instead ...

It's a great concept; a ball with a rotating center. Holes open = curveball. Holes closed = fastball. Pure genius. There are even scuffs on the ball for easier gripping, and to add to the curve effect. We really liked the Junk Ball. The extra few ounces and the scuffs seemed to be the best [...]
