About Major League Wiffleball

Major League Wiffleball was founded by Shaun Breen in June 2000 in the small city of Cohoes, NY, a suburb of Albany, NY. The league is based on combining fun with a little competition among friends.

All MLW games take place on a cul-de-sac, cleverly named “The Sac”. Each season has consisted of a 20-game regular season and culminated with a best-of-seven Sac Series. MLW has been recognized by ESPN the Magazine, the Albany Times Union, WRGB-TV (Schenectady, NY), and the Minnesota Star-Tribune.

Unfortunately, due to the majority of the league’s members reaching “adulthood”, the players decided to cut back on their amount of time spent playing Wiffle Ball. As a result, Major League Wiffleball has shifted our focus from the asphalt cul-de-sac to the Internet.

This web site will continue to show how much fun Wiffle Ball can be, and hopefully it will encourage our visitors to play Wiffle Ball themselves, and possibly form their own leagues.
