About MLW: Shaun Breen pitching to Mike Breen
Major League Wiffleball was founded by Shaun Breen in June 2000 in the small city of Cohoes, NY, a suburb of Albany, NY. The league was based on combining fun with a little competition among friends.

All MLW games took place on a cul-de-sac, cleverly named “The Sac”. Each season consisted of a 20-game regular season and culminated with a best-of-seven Sac Series. MLW has been recognized by ESPN the Magazine, the Albany Times Union, WRGB-TV (Schenectady, NY), and the Minnesota Star-Tribune.

Unfortunately, due to the majority of the league’s members reaching “adulthood”, the players decided to retire from wiffleball, and Major League Wiffleball shifted its focus from the asphalt cul-de-sac to the Internet.

Even though it seems as if the final game has been played in Cohoes, this Web site will continue to show how much fun wiffleball can be. Hopefully, it will encourage our visitors to play wiffleball themselves, and possibly form their own leagues.
