I’m a sports commissioner, and according to a recent Yahoo Sports article, I make less money than Gary Bettman. He made more money than me last year too.

It’s tough for me to admit that, mostly because I think I do a better job than the NHL Commissioner, but then I realized that most of us make less than $7.2 million per year.

On Wednesday, Alex Rodriguez, or “Al”, as Joe Girardi referred to him, skipped Yankees team photo day and went on to hit his 600th career home run off Shaun Marcum, the only active Major League Baseball player that spells his first name the same way that I do.

While that sounds impressive, if you look at the numbers a little more closely, you’ll see that Major League Wiffleball Home Run King Mike Breen is a much better home run hitter than A-Rod.

A-Rod homers on average every 14.5 at bats, which is disappointing in comparison to Mike Breen who averaged one home run every 5.28 at bats throughout his career.
