He was one of our original six league members. So it’s fitting that Joe Yerdon is now working as the lead writer/editor for Pro Hockey Talk on NBCSports.com.

Over the years, Joe has dislocated his shoulder several times, and his wiffleball career seems to be over. Still, Joe will continue to get hits, but they won’t be with a wiffleball bat, and they won’t help his career .308 batting average. Instead, those hits will be from visitors reading his hockey articles.

We mentioned in our last article that it’s a good idea to add special elements to your Wiffle Ball games to make them even better. Today is a perfect example — it’s Canada Day.

One easy thing to do is to wear a hockey jersey. If you don’t have a hockey jersey, you can get one here.

We’re not saying to go crazy and start pitching hockey pucks, or wear ice skates. However, if you could somehow pull-off a Wiffle Ball game on ice in the summer, I’d love to see that.
